Dr Janene Brown creates a welcoming atmosphere for her patients, quickly putting them at ease and approaching what can be a difficult and emotional issue with intelligence and warmth.
Originally from Nelson, Janene completed her Obstetrics and Gynaecology training here in Christchurch and then undertook two years of training in advanced gynae laparoscopic surgery as Oxford Women’s Health’s second Ethicon Oxford Women’s Health Laparoscopic Fellow.
After completing her fellowship, Janene commenced in private practice at Oxford Women’s Health. She has a particular interest in polycystic ovarian syndrome, endometriosis and fertility problems, laparoscopic surgery and prolapse surgery.
Janene is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecology and a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Janene loves spending time with her family. She is a keen sportswoman with a special interest in running and cycling around scenic Christchurch.
